Almost from the start of our journey around Tasmania, we were told by locals and tourists alike to visit Port Arthur. After one failed attempt, we were finally here. The next morning we moved from the campground to a cabin, so that we could store our bikes and gear, freeing us up to walk into the site and spend a couple days.

I don’t know whether I can find words this time to express what it feels like to walk amongst 200 year old buildings trying to comprehend life in another era of humanity that I will never understand.
